I am not entirely sure how I came to possess this bottle of wine (all i noted was “received as a gift”), but this Big Ass Bottle (not a good thing), packs a powerful flavor punch. Inky in the glass with dark fruit, anise, and black pepper predominate on the nose. The palate is rich and fruity, even seven years out. Really fruity, maybe a bit more Jolly Rancher fruity than I would like, but this is still a delightful quaff. thedrunkencyclist.com

I found this in my cellar, don't remeber buying it. Opened and had lots of savory tannins, blackberry, and sage notes. I would not identify as a Zin blend. Seemed more of a Cab blend. Went great with the spaghetti. Really liked it.

Recommended at our local wine shop as a value pick. Good fruit up front and fairly smooth. Did not seem as hot as some indicated. Not much of a finish but held up with food as well as by itself. Decanted for two hours and it opened up. Great QPR. Will pick up more.

Dark, inky appearance. Strong aroma of ethanol as I poured it into the decanter but that quickly subsided into great scents of caramel, bourbon, oak, brown sugar. Oaked, spicy, vanilla, fruity, berry flavours with a long middle and a smooth finish. Very complex and delicious tasting wine for the price, especially at $13 in PA right now. Bought half a case for later.
