Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Purchased in 2009, has been sleeping undisturbed in the cellar since that time. Transparent dark red in the glass, aromas of sweet dark berry, perfume, violets, and earth. On the palate, the ripe but restrained fruit is so elegant and feminine for NSG, but it does speak of its terroir with hints of sauvage and beef broth -- certainly this would not get mistaken as Vosne in this vintage despite its proximity. Finishes just a bit herbaceous and medicinal, but now I am being overly critical. The sisters have the touch. Decanted and tasted over about three hours. Drinking well now. First bottle from a six pack.
