Monthly Tuesday group The Dead Sparrow #011: Priorat (By PS): Beautiful and mature bouquet with dark berries, sweet spices, licorice, leather, barnyard, smoke, metal, vanilla and plum. On the palate chocolate, herbs, pepper, good acidity and soft tannin. Overall a beautiful and complex bouquet and quite mature, but still a pleasure on the palate.

Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2015-06; Classical Spanish wines (by DJ): Very mature bouquet with tea, chocolate, mocha and smoke. On the palate a concentrated wine with chocolate, licorice, sweet spices, ok acidity and completely melted slightly drying tannin. Also some impressions of oak. The notes are not too negative and the wine was still ok to drink, but it definitely was better a few years ago, so I don’t score it.
