Really beautiful ruby color. Very weak raspberry nose. On the palate, some faded cherry and red berries, faint wood and sweet tobacco. Slightly sticky and persistent tannins. Quite elegant despite some heat, but not much of a value.

This Priorato red blend is made of Grenache Grenache Pais, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignane and Syrah. It appears to be still too young, but unfortunately I was a bit too curious. The colour was almost black. The fragrance had scents of bramble, glu, dark chocolate, leather, tabacco and a hint of pepper. The taste is still rather tannic. Aromas of bramble, wood, leather, tadacco and slight olive. It was extremley concentrated and is therefore defenitily no wine to have a whole bottle (considering the day after). Until now everything sounds quite fair, but there is one problem for me. I know Priorato wines are notorious known for their high alcohol percentage, which may work out in many cases. This one's alcohol taste is too dominant and I don't think this will vanish over the coming years.
