At pnp, this just came off as not to enjoyably mature. But later that night, a more nuance rainwater, dark fruit and earthiness. Iodine, earthy, umami more than straight herbal. Actually quite a bit nicer than my experience at PnP. Dark fruit, some plum.

This is really opening up now, and the syrah really makes its presence known. There is an earthy, gamy note in this wine now that I enjoy. Medium bodied, well balanced, it should last a few years yet easily.

Really reduced on the nose, somewhat beany. Resinous herb notes, olives, sage, meaty, cured salami. Palate is like the nose, somewhat vegetal, tomato leaf, meat, olive, some strawberry

Hazy notes from last night. This is always a nice bottle and good QPR wine. Classic GSM style, with plums, earthy cherries, gamy notes and garrigue in a silky yet slightly rustic, well balanced, medium bodied package (B+).

Weekly tasting group RWP #295: A beautiful mix (@ BW): In the bouquet beautifully sweet and ripe red berries as well as garrigue. On the palate juicy red and dark berries. Not extremely concentrated, but certainly beautiful and elegant. Good herbs and spices, fresh acidity and round tannin.
