  Bought this with curiosity in mind. Knowing that the Aussies poured millions of bottles of modestly priced wine down the drain, wondered if the newer releases would have a little more substance. Others don't seem to think so, but I taste a little uptick in quality, especially in the viscosity but really on the finish. The color is closer to black than red. There is more to the nose than just fruit and there are no aromas of medicine or industrial cleaners. There are some secondary flavors of minerals and mushroom farm. Tastes more complex and complete after a night sitting with the cork out. Poured through the vinturi. Typical Shiraz bright blackberry fruit lingers on the roof of the mouth. This is not an earth shattering red wine but it is clean, fruity, a step up from purely simple and still a bargain.

  S: rustic, sandalwood, forest T: flat, Some black raspberry, quite hot on the mid and finish, spicy, truffles. A marginal wine that is an ok drink for just every day consumption. Not as good as the 2013. It's drinkable but no wow factors here. Then again it was only $8 for a 1.5 so didn't expect much.
