  • Enjoyed this. Haven't had a Copain bottling in many years.

  • Read this one in 95 previously, but I just can't say the same thing this time. Compared to some Texas petite sirah and tempranillo there were both older than this, this one finished the third of 3. Other this one has a really nice aged profile, it is actually quite medium bodied by comparison. A combination of sweet and tart fruit, with very minimal savory characteristics. I think I was more impressed by the last bottle of this wine than I am by this one. If you have these, drink now!

  • Flowers, peppers, dark berries, and herbs on the nose. Nice acidity with tart berries and orange flavors on the palate. Good finish.

  • W beef lasagna - stacey visiting. Yummy elegant syrah that is ready to drink. Nothing tight about it. Just good fruit, interesting darkish flavors and good finish. Yummy

  • Really enjoyable Syrah. This is a crazy nose of herbs, black fruit, burgundian profile with a hint of grilled meat. The competition was tough in the perspective of it being enjoyed alongside a Cayuse Bionic Frog, SQN B20, a Long Shadows Sequel, and a Chave L'Hermitage but it held up to the competition IMO and was no less or more capable than any of them. Entry is dark yet very rounded. Middle with even a bit of cocoa nit dark and black. A little bit of tar. Finished with good acid and grip. This can go another 5 to 7 years easy, maybe even 10. Nice nice syrah. My thoughts on this wine have scored it as low as 92 and as high as 96. This is a really nice Syrah. Really awesome QPR when considering what it was up against!
