Solid easy drinking Pinotage with brambles and Cinsaut character that goes well with homemade bean soup. A very compatible food wine and a grape that has a Rodney Dangerfield reputation....

Dark ruby color, with medium slow legs. On the nose, lots of alcohol, warmth, baking spices, vanilla, meat, cherry pits, even hints of orange. On the palate, flavors of vanilla, cherries, cherry pits, cherry cough syrup, a lot of heat. The texture is nice but the finish is dry. First pinotage, not sure I am tempted to taste others... although there are probably better ones out there.
