  • PnP, the color is still fresh, with no darkening at all at this point. The nose is lush and wonderful, with stonefruit, butterscotch, melon and pineapple. The palate is perfumed and creamy, with lively acidity and a complex blend of minerality mixed in with more butterscotch, pineapple and nuttiness. A long finish on this as well, superb QPR on this great bottle of wine.

  • Nothing in the color would suggest 21 years old, this is medium-straw at most; still bright and clear. On first pour, there are some petrol notes that are distracting and not altogether encouraging, but after 1 hour of aeration in decanter, off-notes (i.e. not so appealing) are replaced with more tropical and orchard fruit aromas and flavors. Very much alive at this point (big surprise), and I am looking forward to my 4 remaining bottles which I'll be sure to enjoy in the next 2-4 years. Cork soaked 1/2. Fun, tasty, brilliantly grown. 13,0% abv., recommended

Served non-blind; be sure to give this an hour of air.

  • Deep yellow color is clear with no visible sediment. medium viscosity and day/star bright.
Aromas of medium+ intensity show beautiful oxidation and barrel notes; Dried leaves, weathered oak, butterscotch, popcorn, starfruit, melon, golden raisins and white fig with hints of dried pineapple and papaya, light honeycomb, river stone, spice, moist golden leaf tobacco and chalk scents are gorgeous and complex.
The palate is complex and unrelenting in balanced flavors. Chalky minerality laces the palate followed by brioche, cinnamon, popcorn, butterscotch, golden raisins, white fig, caramelized pineapple, honeyed butter, almonds, stone fruits vanilla and white tea/ jasmine flavors. Acidity keeps it balanced and alive.

Drink Now… No reason whatsoever to wait!
