This is not as bad as the rating would suggest (about 85 points as of this writing). It's definitely more of a sweet focused wine and seems to be missing the balancing spicy characteristic that I like in this grape. But the acidity is reasonable and it's not overpowering and actually paired with a PF Changs meal (yep, I'm in an airport) it's a nice balance to some of the heat in the sauces. Suspect it's superior to most of the other options on the menu at least and I'm enjoying it in that easy fun way that doesn't require too much mental space.

No formal notes, but this is a fun wine. Dry, spicy and very well balanced. Food-friendly low alc. Major fruit notes on nose and palate are mango, stone fruit, and lychee. Reserved but flavorful, overall a great value.

almost disjointed day 1, quinine mixes with musty peach on the nose day 2 , not sure I recall a gewurztraminer in this style, black pepper finish needs foods, seemingly versatile "hmmm.... or mehhh...."

Strong tropical fruit and a whiff of floral notes on the nose. Fruit more muted on the tongue, a hint of citrus and a surprisingly clean, dry finish just when you expect sweet to kick in.

Tried to pair with cheese as an aperitif and it did not pair at all. Will stick to spicy with this, I thought it would be dry enough to work.
