Compelling nose of exactly what’s great about Napa cab. Black currants, cassis, dark chocolate, truffle, a touch of balsamico, all of which carries over to the palate. Tannins are resolved or otherwise integrated. It’s a front-loaded flavor profile that trails off quietly without a big finish, but it really doesn’t need one given the overall beauty of this wine.

Needed a quick decant and slight chill. Continued evolving in the glass. Fantastic nose, bright and floral. Had a "cool" essence to it, bright fruit with deep flavors, black cherry. Light is body but really interesting with impressive complexity. BADMONKEY called it with the mineral/graphite descriptor. Has years to go but may lose some verve if you wait too long. Loved this!

A local store had this on sale for $99 and decided to revisit. Dark ruby fruit - dark cherry, currants, blackberry, and a little plum. Smooth mid-palate but a lighter profile than expected in light of the vintage and Winery direct price - medium body. In addition, it was all about the fruit - very little structure. Nice rich flavors of dark berries, some spice, and a mineral/graphite. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours. Improved a little with time. A decent wine but again I expected more for the Winery price and vintage. 100% cab.

It woke up beautifully after two hours open. Full, bright, and youthful, a tremendous joy to drink.
