Euchre night (R&D's): There's just a little bricking here, beginning to show some age which has softened some of the typical Turley ripeness. Aromas of fig paste and plum, with spice and pepper notes as well. There's just a hint of ripeness in the background, with something along the lines of a candied raisin quality. Medium-bodied, with flavors of raspberry and fresh figs. Medium finish. Nice. (R&D)

Not overly ripe but with developed red zinberry and leafy notes, a bit of heat and pepper and a bit of drying on the finish. The nose shows some lift with berry and sous bois notes. Drink any time.

Blackberry, black raspberry, Asian spice box, cedar, tobacco, laurel on the nose. Same black fruits with red raspberry joining along with the tobacco and pine. Finishes crisp and fresh. The difference between this wine at 15.8%and the 2013 at 16.4% is dramatic. The acidity here has kept this wine fresh and lively in the mouth, with that juicy quality persisting through the finish. Tasted alongside 2012 Ueberroth
