Pop & pour. Great balance of earth and fruit. Dark red color. Nose of dried leaves, cassis, and a touch of vanilla. A bit of alcohol heat in the nose early on. Palate also has some heat. Black cherry fruit leather with earthy spice on the palate. Moderate tannins. Really liked this, but should have held another 2 years or decanted for a few hours.
