Nose is MIOA, with mushroom, honey, beeswax, smoke, ...
palate is very Long and complex, all is med here but the complexity of aromas and the length making the wine quite outstanding without being so much impressive.
Weird feeling of too old wine, but still lively at the same time...

Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent): Quite evolved in colour and the nose. The wine shows preserved lemon and quince, sultata raisins, dried white fig and apricot. In the palate, oxidised sweetness again, medium acidity, nutty, mineral, short to medium finish. Starting to go downhill

11th Cellier Wine Fair (Hilton Athenaum Hotel): Tighter and more mineral than the 2015, lime, lemon, floral. In the palate, tighter again, strict, lemon and rosewater, nice acidity, some roundness offered by ripe peach/tropical notes, needs time

Annual Wine Group Summer Event - BBQ Brisket at Siggy's (Siggy & Jenny's Place, Mpls, MN): Light greenish color. Tasting pour. Wow, was this aromatic, big florals, rather pungent and a bit overwhelming. Tropical fruits, peach, passion fruit, dry, but very fruity. Reminded me a Viognier that was on steroids. Didn't work with the other wines I'd had, but maybe in a different setting...

Cellier Wine Fair (Hilton Athenaum Hotel): The wine is clean with medium intensity, ripe stone fruit, apricot and peach, light floral. The wine is dry, med body and low/med intensity, acidity is med with rose water, candied lime and citrus, the acidity is more green and stalky leaving spikes, feels quite fresh still and like something holding it back, med length. Very good quality, drink now or hold
