Black pepper blackberry saucisson and blueberry on nose. Palate well balanced with well supported fruit and bacon fat. Acid there and good minerality. Not hugely extracted and not at all Oaked. Long fruit and mineral finish.

Pop and pour. The nose of skunky witches' brew is intriguing and the long finish of crushed rocks, black pepper, and wildflowers is beautiful. But the palate is round, sweet, and plummy and not enjoyable. Might be more to my taste in a few years but right now more intellectual than enjoyable.

Great stuff, hasn’t really lost or gained anything in the three years since my last bottle - pepper, charcuterie, black olives and blackberries. A little bit volatile but not too much, light and fresh, no funkiness.

Decanted briefly. Last of three bottles and this is getting worse rather than better. Flabby, savory black fruit with gunpowder.

Decanted one hour. This has an interesting nose of gunpowder, pipe tobacco, and hot pepper. The palate is simple and boring flat black fruit.
