≈2:20 hr decant into a plastic, cylindrical pitcher which was then capped; A fair amount of sediment noted; Slightly chilled Day 1 'cuz of warm ambient room temp; Private Preserve after Day 1
77% Zin & 23% P.S.; 14.7% ABV
N: Slightly closed (was > open when 1st poured?); Blk olives slightly atop blk cherries
P: Med, poss LM, body; Rndish entry with NICE, almost swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which slowly evolves into a LONG, TANGY/swt (60:40) finish with ULT a pleasantness to the fairly innocuous, yet still firming, tannins. Went SENSATIONALLY with the night's revisited Smkd Pk BBQ Ribs, VERY well with the Spicy Sausages & TJ's Whl Kernel Swt Corn, less so with the Bush's Baked Beans, the wine's acidity, I feel, being key in ea of these matchups. IF you're still holding any of this, I'd give it sufficient air & drink over the next 2 yrs or so. My EXC- (solidly), *easily* EXC for QPR™ &/or being paired with something appropriate such as BBQ. // Day 6: I thought held BETTER than anticipated, relatives otherwise. I did, however, today notice a BIT of heat. 93 pts & a "Cellar Selection" WE (4/1/15) @ $20. [As of late Jul '20, wine-searcher still shows 1 source @ $19].
Note: Also tasted on 3/19/16, 1/29/18, + 2/3 & 12/4/19.
™Purchased from COSTCO @ $8.99 in 4/'16.

≈1:40 hr decant into a plastic, cylindrical pitcher which was then capped; Throws sediment; Private Preserve after Day 1
77% Zin & 23% P.S.; 14.7% ABV
N: FRAGRANTLY ripe berries (blks, poss cherries) with undertones of earth
P: Med body; Nice, almost swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which somewhat works itself out by the LONG, bitter/swt finish with firming tannins that only ult come even close to pleasantness. Nonetheless, this was SOMEHOW better on its own than with today's Homemade Beef Chili & Beans, the same entrée with which it did reasonably well the prior Super Sunday. Not at all what I'd call "tired", PERHAPS it would benefit from yet an addt'l 18 mos of cellaring -- & then be paired with BBQ? However, is it WORTH tying up the cellar space for such an "experiment"? :( // Day 2: Still fragrant (with the added note of blk olives?), & the P is *way* > "civilized". ∑: My VG+; 93 pts & a "Cellar Selection" WE (4/1/15) @ $20. [As of early Apr '20, wine-searcher still shows 1 source @ $19].
Note: Also tasted on 3/19/16, 1/29/18, & 2/3/19.

~30 min decant into a plastic pitcher; Throws SOME sediment which seemed to be in discrete pieces
77% Zin & 23% P.S.; 14.7% ABV
N: ™RIPE red plums, poss some dill seed? [Bro-in-law's observations]
P: Med body; Nice frt met by a very, VERY slightly puckerish ASTRINGENCY which requires a bit of palate adjustment as it winds its way into & through the LONG, ULT reasonably pleasant cherry-cola type finish -- assuming one MIGHT describe the Gronkowski of wines as "pleasant". (Ok, today WAS "Super" Sunday.) While not tiring in any kind of a traditional sense, neither do I suspect it to be improving. Drink now, &, I suspect, through '20 with entries that it won't overwhelm, e.g. tonight's Homemade Beef Chili with Beans. My VG+, poss VG+/EXC- *if* one considers the COSTCO $8.99 @ which it was purchased some yrs back. 93 pts & a "Cellar Selection" @ $20 from WE on 4/1/2015.

N: Blkberries & briary earthiness with hints of alch?
P: MF, poss Med, body; Nice, almost swtish frt quickly met by an acidic astringency which only somewhat resolves by the LONG, bitter/swt (60:40) finish with notes of very, VERY fine tannins. 93 pts & a "Cellar Selection" @ $20 from WE on 4/1/2015. // Day 2: N showing some iodine; P, if anything, better ∑: My VG+, with potential for EXC-
