  Deep ruby with purple edges, slow forming long tears, aromatic nose of red fruits and earth, palate is expressive with pencil shavings, cherry, brambleberry, forest floor, baking spice and a hint of vanilla on a long finish.

  A bit closed at first, but really opened up with air, although the wine is clearly too young to drink now. Serious Tinto Fino wine with a small contribution from Cabernet Sauvignon (3 %). Aged for twelve months in French (50 %) and American (50 %) barriques (of which 1/4 were new). Intense cherry-red color with violet hues. Attractive nose with lovely aromas of wild flowers, dried red fruit, pencil lead, vanilla and a hint of tar. Rich, powerful palate with concentrated bramble and plum fruit, but the tannins need some more time to mellow. Sustained aftertaste. Good potential.
  
  Nog vrij gesloten bij het ontkurken, opende de wijn zich meer en meer na flink wat walsen, maar al bij al is hij toch nog te jong voor optimaal drinkgenot. Een degelijke Tinto Fino-wijn aangevuld met een scheutje Cabernet Sauvignon (3 %). Houtlagering: twaalf maanden in Franse (50 %) en Amerikaanse (50 %) barriques (waarvan een kwart nieuw). Intens kersrood van kleur met paarse schakeringen. Aantrekkelijke neus met heerlijke aroma's van wilde bloemen, gedroogd rood fruit, grafiet, vanille en een vleugje teer. Een rijke, krachtige wijn met geconcentreerd pruimen- en bramenfruit, maar de tannines hebben nog wat tijd nodig om te versoepelen. Persistente afdronk. Goed ontwikkelingspotentieel.
