  Medium-light brick. Extravagant Nebbiolo nose with lots of spices, rose petals, tobacco, wonderful. Enters the palate elegant with good acidity and volume. Unfortunately the tannins dry out on the finish. Nose 95, palate 93.

  Unsurprisingly more evolution compared to the 2011s in this tasting: brick red in colour with an orangy rim. A lot more expressive on the nose with ripe red fruit, cedar, leather, balsamic notes, spices. Very impressive. On the palate also more open, still with firm grip and quite tight. Fresh, mineral, silky, very long. Somehow approachable after 7 years in bottle, but this should be given more time to improve. 93-94+
