In an amazing spot right now. Opened and tasted right away and I was pleased. After an hour in the decanter (highly recommended) the nose is hint of vanilla and cotton candy. The wine swirls around on the palate with lots of dark black fruit, hint of licorice, dark cherry, and acerola cherry in the finish. The tannins are apparent but not by any means overwhelming and starting to resolve. There is a good amount of acid in this wine, and it doesn't pair well with a Caeser salad, but with the steak and chocolate instead. I love it and this is one of my favorite Bordeaux wines. For 100% Merlot, well done! Got a glass here now on the 2nd night and the wine held up magnificently. Not as bold as night 1, but still very enjoyable

Rich with layers of ripe, luscious fruit, this wine has smooth, sensuous textures and a concentrated blast of licorice, black cherry, boysenberry and smoky-brewed espresso in the lushly textured finish. Produced from 100% Merlot, the wine was made from low yields of only 20 hectoliters per hectare. 93-94 Pts
