Grands Echezeaux: Served blind. Dark color, lemon, seems simple to me but others at the table raving. Guessed Meursault but was uncertain about producer, figured it was 01-04 maybe showing a bit older than a perfect bottle should.

Mixed 1985 Dinner (Amali): Gorgeous nose right off the pop with white flowers, wet slate, and some nicely reduced and ripe yellow orchard fruit. [Guest's blind guesses on the nose included Coche and d'Auvenay, which was overly optimistic, but appreciated] Seem to have lucked into a good bottle here as the palate was well balanced with deep and rich ripe fruit, minerality, and fine acid as well. Second wine of the after-hours flight.

Never quite tasted a Perrieres like this, not stony at all. Rubbery nose, petro reminds me of Riesling. Palate is pretty light and lush, a bit lumpy not well sorted out. Some minerals at the finish, horrible QPR and not a good Meursault at all let alone Perrieres.

(Maison Leroy Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières) Medium golden yellow color; nice deep, mineral, fresh lime and lemon palate with a touch of oxidation; tasty, slightly oxidized, tart lemon, baked lemon and mineral palate; medium finish

Not typical Perrieres, in that quite lush and acidity/mineralty lacking. Ripe, honeysuckle aromas. Long on palate. 93
