  • Soft and rich - low acid and some residual sugar. The product of a very ripe year, this wine comes across as flabby and unbalanced. The oak nuance detracts from any directness the fruit might have had. Close to a vendage tardive in style. I had high hopes for this wine, considering the producer's success with the varietal and the vintage but this is just not my cup of tea. Concentrated but dull.
