PnP. Not too dissimilar to my previous bottle, a few years ago; holding up great, ageing slowly. Dark ruby, no sign of age. Darker red and some black fruits, with the balance made up of soil/place and dark spice notes. By the second glass, the purest, if not strongest aroma of red licorice rang out loudly, but after only a few moments, it became a part of the broader landscape in the background. Medium-bodied palate, with med+ flavor intensity. The abv. is listed at 14,0%, but this presents as nothing more than 13,0%, fwiw. Modest/normal sediment. It's definitely on the backside of its preferred curve, though it could well take the rest of the decade to do it. I've one left that I'll open within the next 2-3 years. Still an excellent partner to food, but think white meats or veal instead of braised/bbq/complex dishes. The natural cork was barely even stained despite this having been horizontal since the wine's release, fwiw.
Still one note and quite raspberry tart. More accessible on the 2nd night, but even from a great winemaker, this isn't compelling. I'd rather drink Dolcetto any day over this. Maybe it comes around in time, but only a basic charcuterie wine at best.

PnP. Good+. Consistent with the bottle opened in Dec 2020. Drink now, not likely to improve from here. 14,0% abv.
