NobleRottersSydney - non-Oz cabernet (Alio's, Surry Hills): [cork, 12.5%] {Geoffrey} Garnet with a fading rim; looked quite old. Aged nose of sweaty red fruits. Light-medium body, fading dusty tannins. Dry, dilute bordeaux, short finish, fairly nondescript. Given the hot vintage, would have been best upon release.

70% merlot; 30% cabernet sauvignon Undistinguished nose. Solid and straightforward. Also sold under the Chateau David label; and I'm not sure whether this isn't the same as Ch. Jalousie Beaulieu. Not especially interesting.
