  • Juicy and scented with fine grape character. The taste is rich and fleshy with great fruit, ripe and velvety soft, fine acidity, long after taste with a little licorice. A very exciting and ingratiating wine that can withstand storage. Very good buy

  • 100% Tempranillo. The Bodegas states on its website "...90 year old vineyards of limited production situated in poor soil..." Really? We rarely, if ever, have known anyone to use the term "poor" when referring to any aspect of their wines, but we guess there is a first for everything! Fermented in huge concrete vats, no filtering, fining or anything...purely grape juice! Purple to the eye. Aromas of ripe blackberries and blueberries. Equally fruity palate with a touch of velvety liquorice. Great QPR.

Although not a “special” or “buy every year” example of The Noble Grape, we will happily sip this bottle with the guest who likely brought it to share at dinner or as a satisfying alternative to the higher-level wines that for many reasons should not be sipped everyday. Good color, pleasant nose, varying degrees of appropriate niceties (depends on the varietal or blend) on the palate and the sort of finish that politely responds, “Yes, I would be happy to sip another glass, thanks.” We often find ourselves opting for such wines in mind-blowing meets exceptional, exceptional or excellent restaurants (See GastroNaughties’ Restaurant Rating Criteria) where the list is wonderful despite the 3x+ markup.

  • Floral nese med noe krydder og kirsebær. Kjennes ung ut i munnen og har noe floralt over seg her også. Høy alkohol og moderate tanniner. Neste flaske tas til mat, det er det denne egner seg best til.

  • Slightly generic dark fruit with a hint of oak on the palate. Medium bodied, smooth with juicy dark fruit and a light dusty bite on the finish. Diminutive acidity. Quaffable but somehow mediocre.
