Youthful ruby red with a brambly nose. Medium bodied Napa claret style. Elegant but not really polished. Apparently, a single vineyard located on top of Atlas Peak, this is definitely a cooler style mountain wine as it is more refined than up valley zin. A nice everyday drinking red but not quite the stuffing that I expected from a single vineyard grand reserve moniker.

Roy Hersh's ESTG Zinfandel tasting: Stunning color. A bit hot on the nose, nice varietal character. Long spicy finish but a bit too hot.
