Best described as a blend between a Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. Had the acidic structure of the SB and the body and floral nose of the Viognier. Pleasant and long finish with some minerality. Had with Chicken and red cabbage and went quite well. While it was good I think I would prefer a Chenin Blanc given a choice.

I wasn't wild about this. Other reviewers have described this as a marriage of a couple of different grapes/styles, and while I agree, to me it feels like the wine doesn't quite know what it wants to be. At first I thought it was too cold that that masked the profile but the absence of any leading character remained as it warmed. It just seemed flat... which is strange given how much we've enjoyed other whites from ES.
Possibly it was an off bottle but this one fell squarely in the meh category for me.

Interesting varietal. Almost bitter. Interesting spice. Medium alcohol high acid. Piercing with high phenolic bitterness

Very light butterscotch. In between a Sauv Blanc and Chard. Would definitely buy again.

Lots of toasted oak but not over powering, bright acidity, pale straw color, rich finish.
