This has lovely bright red tints in colour. Aromatically it’s not the most expressive. The palate has some vibrant red fruit and tar, some oaky tannins still remain, good acidity. I like this without loving it. Feels a bit heavy after a glass. Brought in a Greek airport duty free around a decade ago for very little

Tasted within a xino flight at a tasting of over 18 Greek wines. Showed poorly. Very international in style. Plush, ripe and lacks a sense of place. Trying too hard.

Wein mit Charakter ! Bitte dekantieren .

Excellent Xinomavro from northern Greece. Deep red color with long legs. Full bodied aroma of autumn leaves. Similarly the taste is rich with smooth tannins and a light smokey hint. Finishes strong and long. Great wine that surely has some more aging potential in the bottle (around 10 years I would say).

Saturated very dark red violet color; aromatic, savory, roasted red and black fruit, roasted berry nose; delicious, savory, roasted red fruit, tart raspberry puree palate with minerality and medium acidity; delicious now and should go 20-25 years; long finish (from 90-year-old gobelet vines; 24 months in Allie oak cask & 12 months in bottle; 14% alcohol; pH 3.37, TA 5.9, RS 2.1) 93+ points
