Community Tasting Notes (3) Avg Score: 89.3 points

  • Flinty, with lemon peal and grapefruit accents. Slight grass and straw tones making a recognizable NZ Sauv blanc. First glass was too cold... needs to warm up slightly to bring out its character. For a 7 year old white, this was pretty darn good. Paired very well with the orange salad we had... Finished well with crisp citrus. Excellent wine.

  • Nice, multiple colors shimmer. Hay and green pepper nose in above average supply. A tad thick with nice citrus and hawthorn elements. Missing the NZ grass, though. More gravitas as it worked its way tepid so I wouldn't chill as long next time. Finish flowed past 25sec and I'd have to say, with success. Decent performer, I was only bummed about not getting that Marlborough terroir. Delicate and structured also come to mind (5+12+15+8) = 90

  • WS gave the 2001 91 points but I did not care for it as much. The 2002 is better, Delicious tropical fruit and spice notes. On the smooth side. 89.
