  Flinty, with lemon peal and grapefruit accents. Slight grass and straw tones making a recognizable NZ Sauv blanc. First glass was too cold... needs to warm up slightly to bring out its character. For a 7 year old white, this was pretty darn good. Paired very well with the orange salad we had... Finished well with crisp citrus. Excellent wine.

  Nice, multiple colors shimmer. Hay and green pepper nose in above average supply. A tad thick with nice citrus and hawthorn elements. Missing the NZ grass, though. More gravitas as it worked its way tepid so I wouldn't chill as long next time. Finish flowed past 25sec and I'd have to say, with success. Decent performer, I was only bummed about not getting that Marlborough terroir. Delicate and structured also come to mind (5+12+15+8) = 90

  WS gave the 2001 91 points but I did not care for it as much. The 2002 is better, Delicious tropical fruit and spice notes. On the smooth side. 89.
