  • Wonderful now because the nose is very complex, bewitching. The mouth is pure not wide but long.
Can be compared to a 1er cru of Puligny. This wine demonstrates the high skills of JM Guffens in wine growing !

  • YES-ish. Was worried this might be past its best and drew a bit of a deep breath when I saw the colour out of the bottle, quite a deep greeny golden. I the mouth it is good, but I still feel this is in the drink-up zone. There is good acidity and an attractive dryness with some floral complexity, that expanded as it warmed. I remember having this a long time ago and remembering that the fruit-acidity combination was stunning. This fruit is older, perhaps more complex, though also perhaps more like cooked apple. Still a very good Chablis for the price.

  • Recent acquisition. PNP. Work wet 3/4 way up but intact. Color light gold. Nose has baked apple, lime and some minerality followed but some nuttiness. Swishing shows fairly dense acidity that supports the rich fruit. A little tingly on the finish. Sipping gives a sense of the minerality that really drives the fruit and keeps this lively. depends how how you like your white burgundy. Bright and mineral - too late. Nutty and butterscotchy - too soon, teetering on the edge of decline - just right.

  • Pnp. Cork perfect color dark straw. Nose has mineral laden baked apple. Swishing shows considerable acidity but the fruit keep this in balance giving a crunchy palate feel. Sipping shows more richness but the acidity keeps this fresh and delicate on the palate. In a perfect place to drink tonight.

  • Nice light golden color. On opening it was not particularly interesting, with a nose of vanilla and lemon. On the palate good light weight, but not adding anything else. As it warmed up the palate became much more interesting with mineral and floral notes adding good complexity. Excellent
