Nose of black cherry with a hint of anise. Flavour is bold black cherry, rosemary and some leather. Good tannins, but not overbearing. Most of the flavour is in the front and sides of the mouth.

For a less than $20 bottle, a great find! Mostly Merlot base (78%) rounded out by near equal amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Lamb dishes that call for Merlot will greatly benefit from this deep, dark rich wine that has some sweet tobacco notes, with some minty eucalyptus from the Merlot, and a little added spice from the Cabernet Franc. Quite complex for a Bordeaux in this price range...it rivals those from St Emillion that cost twice as much.

This is a keeper. Wasn't good first day, second day better and showed some fruit and potential complexity for a four year old. Going to buy six or so bottles and hold for several years. Reidel Bordeaux glasses.

Purchased based on good value and nice rec's on here, but no one particularly enjoyed this. Was better on second day, but not much. "Sour" was the top tasting note all around, with "tart" next.

For $20 this is great. Only thing is a bit vegetal. Otherwise, nice and sweet.
