  • Deep bluish purple in the glass. On the nose there was brambly black and blue berries, ripe plum, cinnamon, fennel, and eucalyptus. The palate had some issues that did resolve themselves over 2 days of drinking though. On the first day the wine was quite muted and desperately thin almost like a watered down CdR. The second day faired better adding some much needed weight and intensifying the palate to come close to matching the nose. The tannins remained coarse and bitter (kind of like bad tea) over both days and the acidity was too strong for my liking. Either i opened this too early or it was a bad purchase from Costco, but i just don't see the potential here...
