Pop and pour yesterday. On the counter unrefrigerated overnight. Notes from day 2 open. On the nose: so bright, screaming bright red cherry, a hint of rhubarb and wild strawberry, with a hint of leather in the background. On the palate: fantastic acidity, hi-toned red fruit, a touch of va, crushed rock, and soft tannin on the finish.

Keller's 2014 Spätburgunder Bürgel has a deep and dark nose of sour cherry, blood orange, smoke, and a unique spice blend inclusive of coriander. Palate is less lively, with a bit of extant CO2, offering more red Pinot fruit with time but never as rich an expression as the nose. Good now.

Another lovely btl. Seems to have picked up a lot of weight. Dense red raspberry, cola, vanilla, blackberry. On the palate, fantastic acidity, clean red raspberry, a touch of vanilla, blue icee, very finely grained tannin on the clean, slightly spicy finish...this is terse and doesn't do this phenomenal wine credit. Stunning.

Couldn't decant this, so I just slow oxed and poured a glass to sit with. Heavenly, perfumed nose, with lots of sweet red cherry and floral notes, cinnamon and a touch of spice. On the palate, excellent acidity, loads of pomegranate and red cherry, with a soft tannic finish. Very long, beautiful delicacy, and just a wondefully elegant PN. Wow.
