This has a plush nose of cherry cardboard and charred oak. Silky with a velvety texture and ripe dark cherry fruit. This an opulent Pinot but there is good structure underneath and the finish is really crunchy with great intensity not unlike Burgundy with lots of complex notes of spiced cherries, dark forest and charred minerals. It’s a bit heady but this is a New World style I really like. Integrated and should be drunk soon.

Drinks perfectly. Classy fruit as you would expect it, along with the earthiness you get from Anderson Valley. A really nice wine.
