I'm a little torn about how I feel about this Zin. Last year, I really loved the 2012 version. It was bright and fruity, expressive, juicy and satisfying. This 2013 on the nose, and even the entry is near the same, but I think is marred by a bit too much residual sugar. It has the aromas us Zin lovers crave, making you want to immerse your whole nose in the glass and inhale. The palate, and the fruit is fresh and juicy. I just don't want the sweetness. My first pass told me 87, but I am going to upgrade to 88 because of the darker colors typical of Zin, the superb chocolate flavors and excellent graphite infused moderate tannins. Dam the RS, this is good Zin.
