  • Decanred for almost 3 hours. Aromas of blackberry, currant, black cherry, leather and lead pencil. Flavors of blackberry, currant, cherry and earth. Ends with 15-20 second finish with earth and currant notes. Nose a bit better than the palate.

  • Surprised by these ratings. This offers modest, if not below average QPR at $27. Purple/brown body with narrow legs. Nose has muted fruits and acidic notes upon opening, and even after several hours in the decanter. Day two offers mild red berry, black tea, tobacco, and berry vine thicket. Palate is angular, acidic raspberry and under ripe blackberry, smoke, bitter seed, pyrazine in finish. Lacking tannins, so don't believe this will appreciate. Eventually had with a piece of chocolate and it was better.

Decant for more than day, drink with food, or wait 3-5 years to see if something unexpected happens.

  • Polished, savory, a bit light bodied, with ample oak. Not unpleasant but really, why bother?

  • P&P That kinda mass produced or over engineered hue. Musty, gravely, sweet fruits & earthy, farmy French nose. Likey. Light watery entry, some charred eathy fruit, sweet n sour, not too ripe, tannins r sweet, light. This is a consumer wine, ready to go w some decant or P&P, balanced but forgettable largely. Not surprisingly bought in Duty Free HK.
