M&PD Tasting: 1990 (Seattle, WA, USA): Deep golden color. White pepper, peach, rose, absolutely classically Gewurz. The Zind-Humbrecht wines can sometimes be overbearingly powerful, but this was gorgeous.

Deep amber, perfectly clear. Very pronounced nose of honey, peaches and apricots. Thick and viscous on the palate, lots of sweet fruit. The acidity could be a bit higher to balance the sweetness. Amazingly long finish. This should easily keep more years. A true delight. Ric

Medium amber color Intense beautiful aromas of honey/ lychee/ dried rose and orange zest - fascinating Fabulous palate of rich apricot/pear with honey and botrytis Medium plus acidity and medium plus alcohol - I was worried about the relative lack of acidity of Gewurz posing a problem in a sweet wine but this was completely unfounded! Incredible length on this wine as well - at least 45 secs Really a treat tonight - drank alone after dinner Drinking great now but I imagine this has at least a decade on it yet

White and red flowers, lychee, apricots, nectarines, honeycomb. Full bodied and a minute + long finish. Still drinking very, very well at age 30. Could drink with dessert (as I did) or on its own.

Knockout wine. Deep golden color. Apricot, honey. Quite viscous and lush. Power. Very long! This will last for a long time.
