This wine is still drinking very well and could go another few years. While it has a profile that fits in the typical JC Cellars "cocktail" style, it has a very distinctive chocolate / blackberry palate which I really love.

Really starting to come into full balance. This is a blockbuster Syrah oozing with dark fruit, smoke and a hint of flowers on the nose. Ripe, lush and layered in the mouth. Flavors of berry, plum, spice and a touch of violet in the mouth, with a long, lingering smoky finish.

Black fruit, smoke and a hint of flowers on the nose. Lush, deep and complex wine in the mouth. Lots of berry, plum, spice and a touch of violet in the mouth. Layered and extracted flavors coat the mouth leading to a lingering, smoky finish.

A little tight in the beginning, with some barnyard funkiness. Opened up as the night went on, revealing a pretty balanced flu bodied wine.

Second syrah of the night, followed the 03 Tensley Colson Canyon, the JC Cellars could not measure up. Seemed very simple.
