  • Brewed in the 2014-2015 season, more specifically late 2014.

Pale, slightly hazy and a bit brown-ish yellow color. Big, but short-lived head. Crisp, pungent and sour nose with aromas of apple, smoke, some bretty earth and a hint of hay. Sour, crisp, bone-dry and tightly wound palate with intense flavors of lemony sourness, grainy malt, some hay and a hint of brett dirt. Light but not thin mouthfeel. Crisp, sour and long finish with flavors of lemon, Granny Smith apple and herbs in the aftertaste.

Crisp, assertive and immensely enjoyable gueuze, but because of its quite unforgiving palate it is far from easily approachable. Very acid-forward, complex and structured effort. Still way too young and probably more complex and nuanced after +5 years in the cellar. Elegant stuff, I love this. An excellent buy at 4,99€.
