Mish Mash of wines (My house): Attractive nose that evolved over the course of the night. Buttery popcorn and smoke, but I was also getting some sautéed ground beef that added nicely to the complexity of the wine. I originally thought this was a 90 pointer but thinking back it just didn’t have the stuffing to be outstanding.

an easy sunday afternoon in the great white north (gurnee IL, jordan's house): nose: this changed a lot over the afternoon/evening. Started off with tones of crisco baking oils, acacia flowers, smoked meat tones, and roasted nuts. As it stayed open, it started to show more buttery tones with buttered toast and movie popcorn flavors along with bits of cashews
taste: very nice tart acidity still with tones of baking oils, white flowers, hazelnuts, and popcorn tones. Not as full as I'd like, but good solid flavors and as it stayed open, the popcorn tones took hold even more
taste: still very young, but with all of the premox problems, it almost seems that you have to take it on the young side so that you are sure that you get to enjoy the wine. Very good oily feel with a crisco attack that gives way to a semi buttered and floral finish. For me, there is a bit too much butter going on with this, but it wasn't like there was a stick of butter dropped into the bottle, I just like my corton charlies to be a bit more focused and fat
