Drinking really well here with the big jam having developed and matured to actually show some (relative) restraint. This leaves all sorts of other flavors room to express themselves. Good point of maturity. Acidity seems low, so not sure this gaea beautifully from here however; fruit tannins are what have held this up.

Ink black core, opaque, slightly widened rim, no bricking yet.
Deep powerful aromatics of black fruits (cherry, cassis, blackberry, plum), hint of mint, sea breeze,
Palate shows sumptuous Australian fruit forward characteristics. Cassis, black cherry, blueberry. Salted dark chocolate, mocha, some savory notes of bacon fat and beef jerky. Long finish on minty oak profiles.
Pure hedonistic wine. Unashamedly I love it. Seriously one of my most favorites from the land down under. This vintage is ready to go and should hold for 5 more years. 92.

In a great place right now. Decanted for sediment, didn’t need much time to open up.

One-hour decant. In a good place at this time. Drink or hold for a few more years.
