Tasted by the glass, note in line with La Cave d'Argent 13/4/16. Average Bourgogne Rouge - not good, not bad, and to drink now without too much contemplation. Wouldn't bother drinking again, personally.

Monday Night Blinds (Home (Noe st)): Pale ruby with slight garnet at the rim. Extremely reductive - burnt rubber nose. Black pepper. Slight red cherry. Slight manure - brett. Palate: - Dry, - medium body - elevated alcohol - 13.5% - High acid, sour. - medium tannins - scratchy and papery - elevated bitterness.
Thin-skinned, reductive, with high acid: Pinot Gamay
Between the two of these, only Pinot makes sense (not carbonic and has manure).
Bourgogne Rouge 2013. Scratchy and unfinished, no oak. $15
This medium ruby Pinot was blindly reassessed, with similar impressions to that of 1/23/2016. Cherry, dried herb, tobacco and black tea aromas are followed by similar flavors on a light-to-medium bodied palate. With fresh acidity, seamless alcohol (13%) and lightweight but angular tannins, it drops off in the middle and finishes short. There is a definite deficiency of charm here, and it is doubtful that time in the bottle will improve the situation. Drink now-2018.

Medium ruby in color and nicely aromatic, this Girardin offering serves up an admirable profile that includes Bing cherry, savory herb, tobacco and black tea aromas. Light-to-medium bodied, fresh and with soft tannins, it delivers a comparable flavor payload without discernable alcohol (which is listed as 13%). The middle palate thins...and therein would lie the biggest reason why this wine does not merit a higher score. Closing tart and terse, this Pinot is serviceable but nothing special. Drink now-2018.

Correct- 2013 Cuvee Saint-Vincent - Vincent Girardin - 13% Bourgogne Blanc.
Tastes like what it is, but really reductive for me.

Ten bones in Burgundy. I'm moving to France -- 'nuff said.
Okay, more to say. Dense without being heavy. V. good balance. It would probably be somewhat better in 2020 with perfect storage, but, really?
