Decanted for 15 minutes but better after 30 minutes which gave the wine time to open and integrate. Some brighter red fruits (red cherry, raspberry) but mostly darker fruits (black cherry, blackberry) on the medium bodied palate along with some spice and a bit of earthiness. The acidity was crisp but balancing and there was just a touch of tannin on the finish. This wine should hold for several years.

Murky, prune juice color, Forest floor or, perhaps, mushroom aromas. Tart red cherry or cranberry on the tongue. A lean mouthfeel. Frankly this wine seems quite stark I just don't get much depth. Mineral sensations under the rear palate gives a slight bitter taste.

Tasted over 3 hrs -semi-translucent med red mild bricking -moderately expressive red fruit rhubarb black raspberry cassis -med+ acidity, med- weight tart dusty black raspberry cassis cherry pit bitter note sappy saline, wispy tannins almost completely resolved -this is quite nice with good complexity lively acidity and fully mature tannins though no overtly mature flavors - just a lovely delicate dusty fruit remnant, nice terroir comparison to last night's '14 Trout Gulch

The wine pours a fairly light purple with some slight bricking around the rim. Doesn’t look old, but you can tells it has a couple years on it. Pop and pour aromas are slightly muted and funky, but with 15-20 minutes in the glass it starts to open up. Brambly fruit and black cherries, cherry liqueur, earthy aromas like mushroom and dried leaves, as well as some purple flowers. I was a little worried at first but this opens up to be super complex.
Palate follows the nose with its complexity. Macerated cherries, flowers and herbs. Definitely a bit vegetal. I’m not sure if this is a whole cluster fermentation but it tastes like it. Tannins have integrated really well. They’re present but don’t punch you in the face. They serve as a great balance to the acidity that is still very apparent. Medium bodied with a long finish.
Another banger from Arnot-Roberts.

This is drinking very well. The fruit is still there and it’s in a great spot. Drink up.
