DSamuel's review is excellent, but I will add that this has continued to get better from my first bottles in 2021 and 2023 respectively, so I'm not sure it's done yet. In particular, the fruit was lean and the high acid seemed out of balance early on, where the development of some umami secondary flavors (a hint of soy) in this latest bottle has helped with the sense of balance. Nonetheless, it's a food wine, and will go great with tonight's chanaterelle risotto!

Light coloured and light to medium bodied with cherries, cola and damp earth, a bit of olives, fruit quickly deteriorated. Normally these guys make excellent wines, but this one is nothing particular.

Light ruby color with pretty extensive clearing at the rim Medium plus aromas of cherry/ cola and damp earth Medium bodied with palate of tart red fruit/ dried herbs and touch of black olive and blood orange Medium acidity and medium tannins with medium alcohol Medium length led by the fruit here - quite well balanced Drink now - not sure there's much improvement to be had here actually Really nice wine but unsure about the PQR here
Double blind tasting Medium ruby, filtered Aromatics medium +. Fresh bright red berry fruits. Later some earth. No new oak Palate has a medium body. Acid medium + to me, but more likely medium on retrospection. Tannins medium, fine grained on upper palate. Alcohol medium. Initially crunchy red fruit that becomes dull over time in the glass. Finish has a medium length. Balanced Once again, blinded I went down the Beaujolais route given all the initial crunchy fruit; 2019 cru Beaujolais was my guess. The fruit is typical for California Pinot though (more soft berry than cherry) and the acid/tannins are not old world. Regardless, drink now

Neighbourhood hangout at Maison Dakota. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Almost same notes as before (3 years ago), with some savoury nuttiness coming out on the palate. Still sweet herbs and stemmy spices also. Gentle red fruits. Lovely 12% alc. Drinking in a good spot already.
