Nothing offensive but not compelling. Lime and pear, marginal acidity. I think there's some oak that is not quite integrated. A touch of spritziness is distracting. No complaints for less than $4.

A: pale lemon green on the 'U' of my glass held 45degrees N: low intensity for though admittedly, my cold symptoms were kicking in at this stage (instr. says medium +). Instru. Points out tropical fruit like banana and melon. This is a SIMPLE/ NEUTRAL wine. Youthful. P: dry. Same as nose with some cream cheese. Medium intensity for me ( instru. Medium +), medium acid ( instru. Medium +), medium alcohol, body and finish. Tannins present which given the cream cheese flavor associated with oak, one can assume the tannins also came from there.
C: Drink now, not suitable for ageing. Balanced? Perhaps. Acceptable quality winemaking but Bland. Guessed this was a particularly poor pinot grigio as its not representative of any particular grape.

Holiday Wine Tasting with Family - NON Wine Geek Version (Brattleboro, VT): Wine 1.4 tasted double blind. Okay this has got to be another grocery store chardonnay. Not as offensive as the prior one but still not pleasant. Butter and oak and red delicious apples. 3rd place for me but the group seemed to like it with 32 pennies voted.

Solid overall but a bit of awkward oak holds it back. Ripe peach and apple, vanilla, and cream.
