  • (Late disgorged in June 2014, dosage 2 gr/l, 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from Ambonnay and Bouzy)
Yellow colour with a nose showing red apples and minerals at first and then opens up with mature notes of meat, dried chanterelles(?) and a spiciness. Maturing palate showing drying apple fruit and fresh acidity before the long lasting dried fruit bitterness on the finish.
This was perhaps not the best of the trilogy of Collection cuvées (95/96/99) from Marguet, but still showing very nicely now with some extra post-disgorgement time! Best 2018-2024.
