This continues to drink really well; partially due to the stelvin closure. Clearly the nose is the most attractive part of this wine with its beautiful floral and fruity notes (in this order). The flower of blackcurrant is what comes to mind. This is a lighter style Cabernet Franc; surely in response to a challenging growing season. Yes, there is an herbaceous side to this wine but that is part of its charm. Not everything needs to be a fruit bomb. This should continue to drink nicely for another 4-5 years at least.

Not everything green is bell pepper! The aroma here is actually closer to the leaf of the black currant than anything else. People only accepting fruit and nothing in the savory, tea, leafy department will not care for this. Taken within its context, I find it enjoyable and much prefer this to chewing on oak and high alcohol all day...

My experience with this wine was a pleasure - clearly better than the average score here would suggest. The tasting experience was typical Loire valley cabernet franc with notes of grass/hay, forest floor, tart berry, baking spices, tobacco and chocolate. This wine has aged gracefully and exhibits complexity and interesting secondary/tertiary flavors and aromas. While this sample was in good shape, this strikes me as a wine that should be consumed over the relatively near-term time horizon.
