Dark wine. Nose shows black cherry, black raspberry, blackberry jam vanilla bean, black licorice, and a touch of dried green herb. Fairly full bodied on the palate with ripe fruit that's wrapped in vanilla bean & baking spice. Still a little grip & med acid, but best to drink now

Final bottle from a case that I've enjoyed from beginning to end. First impressions from PnP were of tar and tobacco, which were good while they lasted, but blew off quickly. Then rich dark fruit. Had the tar and tobacco lasted longer as in youth, I would have rated higher. This is developing secondary flavors. I don't personally love the transition phase and wouldn't want to hold these to see how they perform on the other side, especially because the (insufficient) tannins and earth don't lead me to believe it'll be better in 5-10 years. It'll last a while, but I think we've seen its very best days.
