Flavourful with great acidity. Very food friendly! I always find lingonberry as a primary flavour in these Cab franc from the Loire. There's also red cherry, blackberry, green bell pepper and parsley. I like it a lot!

Lighter medium garnet/purple color. First there is a touch of brett in the nose, but blowing off with a few swirls in the glass, notes of pepper, black raspberries, cassis, some flowery notes, also a touch of green bell pepper, some elderflowers, also some minerality and a touch of orange zest. It‘s medium bodied, with high acidity making it appear even a little lighter, it has medium+ tannin that is exceptionally silky. Pretty long finish. A beautifully complex wine from this great producers. It combines and almost Burgundian finesse with the aromatics of Loire Valley, I also love the 2014 freshness and cooler style. This still has a good 10 - 15+ years ahead.

Lightly structured and wonderfully drinkable, with deep red fruit, some blood/iron tones, and a tobacco and dried leaves thing on the finish. Loved this.

Completely outshines the 2014 les memoires. This one is so expressive and vibrant both on the nose and palette. The finest Cabernet Franc I've ever had.

A Coronavirus lockdown virtual tasting, curated and hosted by Douglas Blyde and Will the Winebum (Each of our houses): Two glasses from Coravin. Some hard green leaf, sweet cranberry on the finish. Softens in the glass, super silky in texture. "You can taste that it's French." Subtle for a Cab Franc, "just a hint of crunch" and not too green. Velvet. Mushroom and earth. G's wine of the night. Would seek out.
