Records not handy. Bought 6b, probably around 25/b about 12 years ago from Sam's or Binny's; this is #3. Solid cork. Decanted with normal sediment for its age. Dark purple; grapey, black fruit nose; blackcurrant, bit of asphalt, requires some patience. Almost delicious. This has taken years to emerge--previous bottles 6-8 years ago were closed. Should last for several more years. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement, then basement condo locker since purchase. My evaluation: For my non-points, 4-level rating scheme, see earlier posts. This is notable when considering quality, age, and price--not a notable value.

Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
There appears to be some mixed opinions about this wine, although some not so positive comments are associated with some not negative scores. Putting this aside, this was a decent, actually very good bottle. Unfortunately, I dd not have one of these earlier (I have too much wine and a tendency to allow Bordeaux age perhaps longer than it should), and so I cannot compare. It might be that is was a bit more vibrant a few years ago.
Anyway, pretty standard Bdx profile. Benefited a bit from letting it breathe for a while -- 30 min or so (I did not decant). Opened up a bit through the bottle, but finished a bit weakly (after 2 hrs or so).
If you got 'em, drink 'em.

Opened 7 hours before, decanted about 2 hours before. Could have used some more time.
