  • A very nice red-berry delicate wine with a good acidity and fine-grained tannin, light notes of spice and oak, main tone of dried cherry and dark flowers.

  • One of my favorite Bodega. Deep colour, big tears. M+ Ripe cherry, red berry, plum, blue berry, some black berries, floral and perfumed, nicely balanced liquorice and clove, menthol, parsley, hint of thyme and black pepper, and smoky notes. The SO2 seems to be quite high (which gives you some punched nose sensation) but no reductive aroma.

On the palate the fruits are more conservative but fresher with hint of vanilla chocolate with pencil led! Rounded-ripe M tannin, high alcohol, high acidity, M+ to Full bodied. M pencil led Finish, which is bit short considering its other performance.
Still very young, but will be soften in 2-3 years.

A truly great modern style from Rioja. I do not think I can tell its origin if served this in blind and might have guess a very good Ribera. Just expect a longer finish to achieve outstanding. Excellent Very Good quality. (90)
